Who do these people think they are that they presume they know more what you want than you do? Or, better yet: those people who presume to know better what you NEED than you, yourself.
All these crankspankers who want to tell us what to eat, what to wear, what to listen to and even what to think. You know what? I am well aware of what I like and what I think…and, I think you’re an idiot and a waste oxygen in this world. So ruminate on that thought for a moment or two since that’s about as long as those minuscule brain cells of yours can fend off the effects of the idiocracy you so sanctimoniously espouse.
Forgive me for thinking for myself and forgive me for wishing for a crazy-rampant virus that only affects those with the self-important, instant-gratification gene that seems to have become so prevalent in our society today. And, God knows I use the term “society” in its lightest possible sense.

It seems to me that there is a growing movement in the world that is made up of those arrogant enough to think that society “owes” them something. No, you self-absorbed pantywaists, it doesn’t. Nobody owes you any more than a swift kick in the crotch. Take a deep breath and realize the state of things: you’re born, you work, you grow old and you die. In between those things, you should be so lucky as to have a person who loves you to share the tears and pain that is life as a whole. For you to EXPECT that you will be rich and famous and that, if not, the world is “holding you back” holds about as much water as a thimble in a drought.
I think I may have gotten off track from my original point, but let’s go with this, since it is a current pet peeve of mine. Shall we?
The simple fact that there is no discipline left in the family household is but a single factor in the self-aggrandizing nature of people today. I’ll tell you what, when I was growing up and did something wrong, dangerous or stupid (on occasion all of those rolled into one incredibly brilliant act), I got my ass whipped. And, I deserved it EVERY SINGLE TIME. Did it hinder my psychological development? No. Did it shatter my self-esteem? (My Wife will definitely say) No. Did it harm my socialization skills or ruin my chances at being a normal, productive member of society? NO! It taught me right from wrong and gave me direction.
To see these kids walking around the malls and public places today, ignorant of every single societal grace that was taught to me as a child, makes me sick to my stomach. Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not of the “hey-you-kids-get-off-my-damned-lawn-old-man-wishing-for-his days-of-youth” mentality. Hell, I keep up with most of the culture of the day, and always have. I’m not talking about the boys running around with their pants around their asses and their drawers hanging out. Although I think it looks ridiculous, I have absolutely no predisposition to thinking that such attire leads to gang affiliation or violence. It’s a style choice. Who gives a shit? Everyone can go naked for all I care. And, I am not talking about the folks with piercings all over their face and tattoos and such…hey, I kind of enjoy that type of individuality.
I’m talking about the ones who think they are “entitled” to what they have not come close to earning.
General manners seem to be out the door, coming down to a “me first” mentality that irritates the simple shit out of me. These little peckerheads need a serious attitude adjustment. You are not “entitled” to a damned thing. You work for something, you earn it, I am all good with that. But, you self-important brats sure as hell haven’t earned a speck of respect from me. So, be aware that if you cut in line in front of me, or talk down to my Wife or friends, or cop an attitude when you should be acting like you have a clue…I am damned certain going to give the clue you so desperately need.
So, push that button and hope for the best.
And, everyone else…think about this: that little asshole with the holier-than-thou attitude at the age of fourteen may very well be the President of the United States one day.
Nightmares, anyone?
I think that the three major things that are wrong with the world today are:
1. People are selfish
2. People don’t want to take responsibility for their actions
3. People are lazy.
