An Intrinsic Love for The Craft
Capturing Magic Through PERSPECTIVE
I’m former military, a bit of a techie, a multi-published author and a motorcyclist. I’ve been married for 20 years to my other half, my perfectly irrepressible Wife, Mona. We have two dogs who think they run the joint, Miso and Mei Mei. I love my life. I well and truly do.
Under their calm demeanor lie the hearts of troublemakers
Miso (the dachshund) and Mei Mei (the boxer mix) are the happiest, laziest mutts around. Their cup runneth over, as opposed to before we rescued them. They’ve given our lives a whole new meaning and keep us on our toes. For Mona and myself, they are as much our “kids” as humans may have been (which, unfortunately, wasn’t in the cards for us).
We spend time throughout the year supporting rescue operations and programs such as Stand Up For Pits.
Author of modern speculative fiction novels and short stories.
My work ranges from Young Adult (the Progeny series) to Urban Fantasy (the Valence of Infinity series) to thrillers such as The Ordeal, Zero Level and the web series, Brace. My short stories have been published in such anthologies as “Past the Patch,” edited by horror author Brian Fatah Steele and “Twice Upon A Time” from Bearded Scribe Press.
I served as the CEO/co-owner of the independent publishing firm, Dark Red Press (2011-2015), as well as editor-in-chief of (and contributor to) the novella anthologies 4POCALYPSE: Four Tales of a Dark Future and 4RCHETYPES: Modern Interpretations of Classic Horror. I also served as editor for numerous short stories by other authors and I love the process as much as the results.
An occasional speaker at writers’ conferences (i.e., DFWCon) and workshops (i.e., Writers’ Guild of Texas), I love to share my knowledge and experience with other writers.
